FREE OR SWORN TRANSLATIONS
Free or certified sworn translations are carried out by translators whose skills have been assessed and verified in accordance with our management methods.
Our translators are selected on the basis of established criteria: mother-tongue, minimum Bac+5 initial training and experience in the translation field.
An assessment is carried out at the time of the initial collaboration, when our senior translators evaluate new entries. We perform a comparative evaluation of the most in-demand translators every year.
Certified sworn translations are prepared by translators who have sworn an oath before the relevant authorities (in France, before the High Court) and are registered at the Court of Appeal in France or Monaco or at other foreign bodies.
CERTIFIED SWORN TRANSLATIONS
These are translations that respond to certain legal requirements, such as translations for legal professionals or government bodies.
They include contracts, writs of summons and civil status documents.
These translations are not required to comply with any legal requirements. Nonetheless, they are prepared by professional translators who have been selected and evaluated in exactly the same way as our sworn translators.
They include translations of websites, general terms and conditions of sale and curricula vitae.
REVISIONS AND/OR RE-READING
Revising a text is not the same as re-reading it: a revision enables the text to be reworked linguistically and stylistically, while re-reading is the final stage before delivery of a translation, and includes checking orthography and punctuation.
LEGALIZATION OF TRANSLATIONS TO BE SENT ABROAD
Legalization of a document involves authentication of the signature of the sworn translator who has prepared a certified translation
